Scheduled Activities

Beck's Youth group plans a ski trip for the beginning of every new year.

In addition to Wednesday nights, Beck's gym is opened occassionally for fun and fellowship.

During Basketball season, Beck's participates in the PMBA Basketball League. We play against other churches in our area. To be on a Beck's team you must attend at least four church services per month.

Worship With Us

Our church offers two Sunday morning times of worship.

For those that enjoy waking up early there is a 8:30 AM service. If is less formal and many people like to dress casually.

If it's to difficult to get out of bed that early, there is also a 10:55 service. Both services are held in the sanctuary.

The Power of Prayer

The power of prayer is not unknown to the youth of Beck's Baptist Church. Most in the group today are old enough to remember a time just a few years ago when one of their members was critically ill, lying in a hospital room with doctors frantically trying to save his life.

In answer to their fervent prayers, God granted their request and raised that young man back to health.

They know that God can answer prayers today.

Winter Activities 2008/2009

DECEMBER

Dec. 17 - Youth Christmas Party @ Journey starting @ 6:30 PM

What do bring:
7th - 9th: canned goods
10th - 12th: dry foods

Also bring a wrapped gift, rules:
- can't spend money
- must be in working order
- clean and nothing offensive
- no clothing (funny t-shirt may be exceptions)

Dec. 24 - No Journey

Dec. 31 - New Year's Eve Party

JANUARY

*No SND until Jan. 11*

Jan. 24 - Snow Skiing Trip (cost: $72 for skiing, bring your own lunch)
We are going to Sugar Mtn. in Boone, NC for one day of wonderful skiing.

About Us

Beck's Youth is a group of teens who love God, each other, people who need our help, and having fun.

Youth Activities

We have youth activities for various ages ranging from basketball leagues to mission trips and from Sunday School classes to informal Bible discussion groups. Come and join in with us!

Youth Missions

Beck's Youth Missions programs provide places for service to others for individuals of all ages and abilities.

Wednesday Nights

Basketball is a favorite activity for many of Beck's Youth.

Each Wednesday Night the Beck's Gym is open at 6:00 PM and closes at 9:00 PM so that the youth in both our church and community can come for recreation and socializing.

From 7:00 to 8:00 we have a Bible Study in the upstairs section of the gym. A wide range of topics are covered from the way to heaven to growing deeper in your relationship with Jesus.

Sunday School Worship

Each Sunday morning at 9:45 we meet in small groups to study and discuss God's word. There are classes for all age groups.

Discipleship Groups

Our Sunday night time together is known as our discipleship groups. This is where we get together and learn what the Bible has to say. We usually meet together in a large group for teaching time from Clayton. Afterwards, depending on material we may split up into smaller groups to discuss the material in greater detail.
