Becks Baptist Church is affiliated with the following organizations which can be reached online:

The North Carolina Biblical Recorder, our state convention weekly publication, is available online as well as in print. In fact, the online publication has features not found in the print version such as a special section featuring questions and answers focused on young people and their life issues. It allows young people, youth leaders, and parents to ask a team of experts questions about issues facing youth today.

The Baptist Sunday School Board is online.

The Women's Missionary Union has a full website of its own with lots of resources for all ages for both local ministry and world wide missions.

Evangelist Justin W. Jones, a member of Beck's Baptist Church, has a website with information about his ministry, goals, meeting schedule, and more.

Short articles telling the stories of the lives of great Baptists of the past are available for reading on The BaptistPage.com website. If you want to be inspired by what others have done before us, then spend a few minutes here.

Robert Nichols is a former Minister of Youth and Education at Beck's Baptist Church. They are currently ministering in Uruguay. Adam, who is being home schooled by his mother, Deborah, is currently in the third grade of his American school studies. He will begin fourth grade in Spanish studies when the local public schools start around March 9, 1998. The Nichols put out a regular E-Mail Newsletter. You can learn much more about their ministry and Uruguay at their website.

The King James version of the Holy Bible can be listened to right over the Internet using RealAudio (there is free software for all computers) from The Talking Bible.

If you are a Sunday School teacher in need of additional helps preparing for next Sunday's lesson, LifeWay offers EXTRA! It is the free weekly update of lesson-related current events, media illustrations, up-to-date statistics, and creative teaching tips for Bible study leaders. EXTRA! is a cost-effective weekly curriculum supplement available directly from your computer! EXTRA! relates directly to each week's Bible study. The material is written 10 days before use with a specific Sunday's lesson. You can either print out a copy of the web page form of EXTRA! or download a text file of EXTRA! These are available for Adult, Youth and Children's lessons keyed to each of their curriculum series and targeted to specific segments (younger, older, married, single, etc.) within each group. Bible texts and Bible study information is abundant at The Biblical Studies Foundation.

BibleNotes offers the entire Bible, both Old and New Testaments, summarized with easy-to-read review notes and keypoints and is useful for everyone as a resource for Bible study.

The World Wide Study Bible contains Biblical text in several different versions plus commentary by book, chapter, and verse contributed by the Web community. While it is not searchable, it is fairly easily navigable.

The Basic Bible Browser, and the Advanced Bible Browser, are simple but powerful online interfaces "designed to help you browse the Bible actively, in a way that is not possible with traditional printed books. Using the Bible Browser, you can look up biblical passages directly, by keyword, substring, or word pattern. You can also perform phrase searches, execute logical operations on groups of passages, retrieve passages from different versions, and limit in various ways the quantity and range of material retrieved." An online users' guide is included.

Hitchcock's Bible Names Dictionary is from Hitchcock's New and Complete Analysis of the Holy Bible, published in the late 1800s. It contains more than 2,500 Bible and Bible-related proper names and their meanings.

A useful website for those interested in learning more about being a Baptist is Baptist Ecclesiology and Other Distinctives. That is a difficult title that may tend to scare you off, but the site lists a hundred or so books, articles, and pamphlets on the general subject of what it means to be Baptist, and provides the online text to several of them ... so you can just surf and browse and read! What a great service this is to those trying to learn more about their beielfs! Check it out.

The Living Word Library provides online Bible studies covering everything from faith to marriage. prayer, healing, Book Study, Women of the Bible and much more.

The Miami Christian University Virtual Library is collection of Christianity-related sites. including a comprehensive guide to Bibles and a directory of churches on the Internet.

Want to see how much you really learned during Sunday School last week? Lifeway (the Southern Baptist publishing house) provides Bible Challenge, a fun activity to test your Bible knowledge. It is posted each Tuesday and relates to the Bible stories from the previous Sunday's lessons in our Sunday School curriculum. Just choose your age group from the appropriate series, and click on the correct answer.

Christian Classics Ethereal Library contains complete versions in electronic format of numerous non-fiction classic Christian books including 38 volumes of the most important writings from the first 800 years of the church, writings by St. Augustine, John Calvin, George Fox, Martin Luther, and others. Fiction authors include Chesterton, Dostoevsky, MacDonald, and Tolstoy. Links to other Biblical reference sites are also included.

Lessons for a weekly family Christian Bible study based on the revised common lectionary and seasons of the church year, including art, music, prayers, lessons are available at SundaySchoolLessons.com.
