Guiding our children to the Lord through prayer
Behold, children are a gift of the LORD; The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior; So are the children of one's youth. Psalm 127:3-4
- Do you ever feel stressed out by life or worried about your kids, your job, your parenting, your marriage, your bills, or any of the millions of other things moms face every day?
- Are you finding it difficult to meet other moms or make solid friendships now that you're known simply as "Suzie's mom" or "Billy's mom"?
- Do you ever find it difficult to fit prayer into your already jam-packed, busy schedule or wonder if it's okay to pray about something?
- Do you ever wonder if God listens to your prayers, or have you never prayed before but are willing to try anything at this point?
If you answered "YES" to any of the above questions, then MAP is the place for you!
What is MAP?
MAP is a non-denominational prayer group for moms of all ages and in all stages of parenting. Our purpose is to study God's Word to learn all we can about prayer and then apply those truths to our own prayer lives. The times require that we bathe our children in prayer before sending them out to be in the world but not of the world. Paul tells us in Ephesians that our struggles are not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. These battles are fought and won on our knees before the throne of God. We need to arm ourselves with prayer...for ourselves, our spouses, and especially our children. This group will also be a great way to get to know other moms and make some great new friends.
There are two groups available to meet the needs of moms working in or out of the home. We meet for one hour, twice a month. Child care will be provided for the daytime meetings only. Please let me know if you will need child care in advance so that we can be sure to have the appropriate number of helpers. The invitation to join this group is being extended to local schools and area churches. Come and take part in this exciting new ministry!
