Dr. Ray Hamilton |

Dear Friends and Family:
At my last session with the Oncologist, which was two weeks ago after the last chemotherapy, the Oncologist scheduled me for a CT Scan. He said at that time, "No one can be sure, but I believe the CT Scan will show that your body is clear of cancer. I will be very disapointed if we learn otherwise."
This morning I went for that CT Scan. The results are not good. A very disappointed Oncologist told Jackie and me that the Bile Duct Cancer has spread to the liver and to the lining of the abdominal cavity. None of this showed up on the last CT Scan, which was two or so months ago. Thus, the radiation and chemotherapy has not stopped the cancer.
He has scheduled me for a liver biopsy next week. After that he will talk with me about where we go next. There is a possi- bility that he will not recommend any further treatments. On the other hand, he might feel more optimistic after the biopsy.
Still, the news is not good. Bile Duct therapy is rare and aggressive. Basically, the cancer on the liver and on the lining of the abdominal cavity is still Bile Duct Cancer.
Pray for my family and me. I just know that God is good and that His grace is sufficient, whatever the need may be. I will be back in touch in a few more days. God loves us all.

WOMEN OF FAITH - OVER THE TOP
COMING TO GREENSBORO, NOVEMBER 12-13, 2010
God is not stingy. He does not weigh out his love for us grain by grain; he doesn't squeeze out forgiveness one tiny drop at a time. Not our God—he pours out mercy in a flood. He loves us more than we know. He gives us more than we can ask or dream. He's unrestrained. excessive. outrageous. Over the Top.

Taylor Ivester update |

|
Hope this finds everyone doing well! Just wanted to send out an update and let everyone know that im back at Diitabiki after a two week trip to the jungle gold mines with Ba Ten. The trip was awesome and exhausting, yet insightful and provided me with opportunities to grow in my walk with the Lord, to grow in my relationship with Ba Ten and also to minister to and share my faith with a non-believer named Ba Yado who accompanied us on the trip.
Now that Im back, Im looking forward to getting back into storying here at Diitabiki and neighboring villages. Please continue to pray for 1) My relationship with the Father to grow every day. 2) Our team, who is now spread out all over Suriname. 3) My realationship with Ba Ten and others here in the jungle to grow deeper. 4) For the salvation of the lost and sanctification of the found here where we are serving!!!
And I finally got a picture to post on my blog from base camp here in the jungle. Technology is crazy!:) For those interested, you can read more about the trip to the gold mines and see a picture of a black spider monkey that we killed on the trip at taylor2024.blogspot.com. Thank you for your prayers. And its always a joy to here how things are going with you as well. Take care and God bless.

Prayer request from Brent Daniels |
February 21 2010, 12:28 am |
|
Dear Christian Family,
This prayer request comes from a friend of my mother, Ms. Kathy Talbert who lives in Raleigh, NC. Her daughter Lindsay had triplets 2 1/2 years ago and they were preemies. One of them died soon after birth. Gavin, one of the survivors, is now in the hospital in Chapel Hill and is on life support. He had a bad cold that developed into chest and breathing problems. He has been in the hospital since last Saturday night and has had good days and bad days. Kathy asked that he be put on prayer lists. I'll keep you posted about his condition.

"Ma'am you have lymphoma, come straight home you should."
At 21 this was a shock, I'm suppose to be in class,
Surely there is some mistake, This has to quickly pass,
I felt fine just yesterday, "Are you sure you're right?" we plea,
I have two treatment options left, Chemo & Prayer will save me

Prayer request from Pam Mills Brown |
February 11 2010, 03:11 pm |
|
The e-mail below is from my high school friend asking prayers for her brother in-law, the family lives in Hickory. I went to school with Gary and his wife Tammi is my friends’ sister. Please remember them in your prayers.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I am asking everyone I know to remember the Hawkins family in NC in prayer, specifically Gary Hawkins. As most of you know, he is my sister Tammi's husband.
He has been in the hospital (Duke) for nearly two months, and has been in ICU for several weeks. He has been disagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome. He is currently on a ventilator and has very little movement. He can recover from the illness, but it is a long and difficult road.
I'm asking each of you to pray for his healing, for strength to make it through rehabilitation, and for Tammi and their three sons at home, 17 and under. Most of you also know that Tammi has MS and faces challenges of her own. Also, if you could forward this message to praying friends, I would appreciate it so much. It is such an indescribable comfort to know that whatever we face in this life, that we have Jesus to hold on to, knowing that he will not leave us forsaken.
Susie
